The world’s most tempting Kiss in a Tube
Kiss in a tube by Lypsyl is a new series of caring lip gloss.
Ergonomidesign got the commission from Lilleborg, a leading Norwegian brand building manufacturer of products for personal care, to bring more beauty and glamour to a traditionally functional brand.
Lypsyl is market leader in Norway in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Lilleborg knows their customers and are well known for having a humoristic and youthful approach when addressing their target users; Norwegian girls aged 15 - 25.
The challenge for the designers was to combine a humoristic tone with a strong premium feeling in a product that could attract all senses. Design concepts were made based on user insight studies with trendy, design oriented female target users in Norway.
The outcome is a series of extra caring lip gloss that looks, feels and smells different, all together creating a more glamorous user experience. Kiss in a Tube by Lypsyl differs distinctly from other competing brands in a sensual and poetic way. The artwork of the packaging is based on sophisticated, fashion inspired illustrations, with variations that distinguish the three variants, each with a unique color and caring content of shea butter or vitamin E.
Kiss in a Tube was launched on the Norwegian market in February 2008 and has in a few months since launch sold above all expectations! Lilleborg has increased its market share in the everyday retail by app. 20% and the product is successful also in specialized retail, e.g. cosmetic shops, and at the same time price has increased by 300%.
